Big Angular apps rarely need a rewrite. They need isolated features, measured performance, and upgrades that ship while the product keeps moving.

Three projects, and what they took

Angular 8 to 18 while the old app kept shipping

Planned and led the migration across more than ten business modules, from users and permissions to asset mapping and self-service registration. Restructured the code into a monorepo with ESLint-enforced feature boundaries, standalone components, OnPush and lazy loading, and kept it in sync with production fixes that were still landing on the old app.

A map of 10,000+ assets that no longer freezes

Panning the asset map froze the page once thousands of features were on screen. Moving rendering to WebGL in OpenLayers fixed the freezes and made navigation responsive again, with the data handled through custom stores and services.

Real-time face and card detection in Angular

Integrated OpenCV and TensorFlow for real-time face and card detection alongside video streaming, working with AI specialists, designers and back-end engineers. Built the apps from scratch on a monorepo with a shared Angular Material UI library, and led a front-end team of 3+ developers.
